Waiting on the Lord: Patience in God’s Timing
Scripture: Isaiah 40:31 (NIV) — “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Waiting is often the hardest season for the believer, yet it is essential in shaping our character and faith. When we wait on the Lord, we place our hope in His perfect timing, not ours. Isaiah reminds us that waiting is not passive; it renews our strength and enables us to rise above challenges.
God’s delays are never denials — they prepare us for greater things. In the waiting, He teaches us patience, trust, and dependence on Him alone. This sacred pause can be an altar of transformation, where faith matures and peace takes root.
Reflection:
Are you embracing your waiting season with hope or frustration? How can you use this time to deepen your relationship with God?
